After 16 years in their previous Mount Vernon location, Dean’s Jewelry is officially moving into a new storefront. 

The longtime local jewelers broke ground last summer, with co-owners Noah Turner and Michelle Turner the first to plant their shovels in the dirt. Since that day, the Turner siblings, along with the entire Dean’s Jewelry team, have been anxiously awaiting the moment they get to open the doors of their brand-new store for the first time. On May 16, that dream became a reality.

A true multi-generational family business, Dean’s Jewelry has been a fixture in both the Coshocton and Mount Vernon communities ever since Dean Turner opened the first store in Coshocton in 1965. After taking over the store in 1991, Dean’s son, Tim, opened the store’s original Mount Vernon location. Now, co-owners Noah and Michelle are proud to continue their family legacy in a bigger and better storefront. 

Though the new store is right across the street from their previous location, the move took some work, and setting up a brand-new store with the same welcoming atmosphere as their previous one took plenty of love and care. But the big move was a necessity for the business.

“Year after year, we’ve seen more customers in our stores,” Michelle Turner said. “As our clientele expands, we obviously want to have more space for them, but we also want to offer them more jewelry. The new space will really let us expand our inventory. There will be more room to shop, and more jewelry to shop for!” 

Michelle Turner said they feel so lucky to be a part of this community. 

“Our customers are more than just customers – they’re our neighbors and our friends. They’re also the reason we’ve been able to keep our small business running through three generations of family ownership. So we knew that when we opened this store, we wanted to invite everyone along to celebrate,” she said.  

The new store is located at 1573 Coshocton Ave. in Mount Vernon.
