Fredericktown and Northmor battled it out for eight innings, and the Freddies were able to come out on top 5-4 when Carson Rinehart scored on a wild pitch with the bases loaded.

The Freddies went up 2-0 in the first inning when Korbin McGowan grounded into a fielder’s choice to score a run, and Kaine Sheriff hit an RBI single. Northmor made it a one run game in the second inning when Nick Armrose doubled and knocked in Trevor Brubaker. The Golden Knights tied the game in the fifth inning when Bryce Cooper was hit by a pitch with the bases load, bringing a run home.

Northmor took a 4-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning when Jack Bowdre scored on a wild pitch. Garrett Harvey hit a sacrifice fly to center on the next batter, scoring Grant Bentley.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Brode Davis tripled to lead things off. He was brought home on a CJ Fisher ground out to make it a one run game. After a Devon Whitt walk, McGowan blasted a double to right field to tie the game and send it to extras where the Freddies were able to come away with the tight win.

Davis picked up the win going two and two-thirds innings of relief, allowing two hits and a walk.

McGowan led the offense with a 2-for-4 day, hitting a double and driving in a pair of runs. Sheriff went 2-or-2 with a walk.

Northmor was led by Drew Hammond, who was 3-for-4 with a walk. He pitched well despite getting the loss, going five innings, allowing four hits, two unearned runs and three walks, while striking out eight.
