Fifteen Morgan Grange members met for a potluck supper and monthly meeting on Friday, December 8, 2023. Master Will Smith presided over the meeting as roll call was taken and minutes were read and approved.
A thank you card was received from the Utica Christmas Walk committee for Morgan members James and Mary Jordan and Cindy Campbell who were very busy handing out bags of popcorn. Bob Smith and Tom Debolt were thanked for their efforts in creating a lockable roaster cabinet. Dartball games for Morgan will commence on Sunday, January 7th, Practices are held on Wednesday evenings and all are welcome to be on the team. Informational flyers about the County Line Joint Fire District levy to be on the ballot in March was made available to members. Cindy Campbell thanked Sue Bateman and her committee for preparing and serving the Shriner's dinner. It was announced that Morgan placed first in the Knox County Grange Challenge, with Monroe-Dan Emment and Wayne grange placing second and third place, respectively. Copies of Morgan Grange 2024 calendars were made available to members. It was announced that fruit plates are ready to be distributed to shut-in members and friends in the community.
Members with birthdays are Anna Chadwick, Leila Doup, Harriet Robison and Will Smith. Anniversary couples are Ned and Cindy Campbell and Mark and Harriet Robison. Concerns were expressed for Terri Barber, Doug Long and Jim Hughes.
Pomona Grange members will meet for supper at The Farmer's Daughter restaurant on Monday, December 18th at 6:00 pm. Morgan members will meet on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 7:30 pm.
