The 2023 National FFA Convention and Expo was held in Indianapolis Indiana November 1st-4th, 2023. Northridge FFA had a whopping 19 students attend the National Convention. With those 19 students we also traveled with Johnstown FFA filling up the rest of the charter bus. While we made our way to Indianapolis, Indiana we took a few pit stops to Jungle Jim’s International Market where we toured the SUPER supermarket and even got a chance to buy international foods. Afterwards we ate at Cicis Pizza for lunch. Our next stop was at Wilhelm Lumber where we learned about the production of lumber and how it can be processed. Next was Culver’s for dinner and Indy Scream Park for our scary evening entertainment. Day 2 of Convention we attended the opening session and we had time to shop in the mega store and explore the career expo. Afterwards we attended the second session and then had dinner at Harry & Izzy’s before driving back to the hotel for study time with Crumble cookies. Day 3 was a fun one. We woke up before the sun and shopped all morning. Lunch was at the Garage where we got to choose from a hall of food and watch some of the National FFA talent.  After lunch we headed straight to the rodeo where we had a great time watching some cowboys ride some barebacks, broncs, and bulls! Dinner was at Chick-fil-A and evening recreation was an escape room. Before we knew it, this convention came to an end. We spent the last day at the general session where we got to watch Morgan Thompson receive her American degree which is the highest degree FFA has to give. We can’t wait to go again next year!
