At Stake: Northmor is riding a five game winning streak and hope to carry that momentum into the playoffs.
What to Watch:Northmor is coming off a 34-7 romp of Loudonville, led by sophomore running back Carson Campbell who had 222 yards and four touchdowns. Paul Cramer nearly hit the century mark with 99 yards on 14 carries. On the year Campbell has 886 yards and eight touchdowns.
AJ Bower has been one of the best quarterbacks in KMAC this season and last week he had 166 yards and a touchdown pass to his favorite target Jax Wenger. This year Bower led the conference in just about every passing category He had 1,885 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions while throwing for 75.1%.
Wenger has 35 catches for 614 yards and a KMAC high 11 receiving touchdowns. Bo Landin had is also a receiver to watch as he can be a big play threat, as he has reeled in 11 touchdown catches, 24 receptions and 601 yards at an average of 24.3 yards per catch.
On defense, Cameron Goldbach has seven sacks and a pair of picks. Wenger had an interception in last week’s win, as well.
Northmor has outscored opponents 375-122 and finishes second in KMAC play.
The Hornets have a workhorse running back in Kaden Murphy, with the sophomore rushing for 1,241 yards on 207 carries and 17 touchdowns. He also has a team high 13 catches with 186 yards and two touchdown catches.
Gavin Gipson has 12 catches for 246 yards and three touchdowns, and 62 carries for 351 yards and three touchdowns. Whyatt Mannon is the team’s signal caller with the senior going 36-for-67 for 539 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions. Season statistics were up to week nine as individual statistics were unavailable for week 10.
The Hornets started 4-1 but have sputtered of late, with five straight losses. They have been outscored 269-314 this season. Three of their losses have been a one score game, however. Last week they lost 23-16 to Rock Hill.
