Jean Ann Bower, 93, currently of Circleville, but a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away after a short stay at Logan Elm Nursing Care on Monday, October 9, 2023. She was born on August 3, 1930, to Harold and Josephine (Doup) Liggett in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Josephine, three brothers, Doyle (Pearl), Gerald (Dorothy) and James (Ina) Liggett and one sister, Ruth (Ken) Harmon and many lifelong friends.

Jean had two daughters, Pam Fletcher Seavolt (Damon Welch) of Circleville and Karen Fletcher DeRosa (Donald) of Greensboro, NC. She enjoyed ten grandchildren (and step grandchildren) and their spouses and 13 great grandchildren (and step grandchildren) as well as many nieces & nephews.

She worked for 33 years at the downtown JC Penny store where she became a familiar face to many residence over the years. Moving from Mount Vernon to Circleville in 2018 was a sad time for her, missing her friends, neighbors and all the familiar places that she loved so dearly.

A graveside service was be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Amity Cemetery.
