Linda S. Bebout, age 74, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville. She was born on October 7, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of John William and Gladys Irene (Ralston) Shotts. Linda was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and attended the Palmyra Church of Christ.

Linda enjoyed bowling and was a member of several leagues, but she loved nothing more than the quality family time she had with her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. Linda loved traveling with the family as they spent numerous days at the drag strip, racing as a family. She later enjoyed the weekend nights attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and cheer competitions. No matter where it was or what they were doing, Linda was most happy being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Linn (Robyn) Bebout of Mount Vernon, and Angie (Bill) Webb of Centerburg, three grandchildren, Cole (Sernia) Bebout, Caden (Macey) Bebout, Zoe Webb, a great granddaughter, Everleigh “Sis” Bebout, and a brother, John (Shirley) Shotts Jr. of Mount Vernon.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Bebout and a sister Sharyn (Bill) Fowler.

Friends may call on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where a funeral service was be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. Evangelist Troy Northrop was be officiated. A burial was followed in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
