KCH is excited to welcome Danielle Guffrey, MD, to the Acute Rehabilitation team. Dr. Guffrey is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2012. She completed her MD at the University of Arizona with clinical honors in Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Spinal Surgery, and Internal Medicine. She completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at The Ohio State Medical Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Guffrey is passionate about providing patients and their families with the highest level of inpatient rehabilitation care and experience and is excited to enter into the new role.

The Acute Rehab Unit consists of 16 nursing staff and 5 therapists in an eight-bed unit on the hospital's fifth floor. Patients require a physician referral.

KCH is excited to welcome David McSweeny as the new Physician Assistant in Urgent Care. David has worked as a PA in an Emergency Department for the last 20 years. He got his undergrad in Microbiology at Miami University. Then, he went on to Kettering College of Medical Arts, now known as Kettering Health Care College, to get his certificate in Physician Assistant Studies. He later earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. David is looking forward to being able to treat various conditions and patients daily in his new role.
