James “Cal” Jackson, age 84, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg, Ohio, with his wife by his side.
Cal was born in Willard, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Bertha (Lovely) Jackson Sr. He loved his 1981 Corvette, it was his baby and he and his wife Patricia went to a lot of car shows. He was also a good craftsman, he built a old farm house with some help from family and friends.
Cal was a truck driver with Roadway Express in Columbus, retiring in 1999. He went to Galion High School but left in 12th grade to join the United States Navy.
He is survived by his forever love, wife of 34 years, Patricia “Pat” Jackson; step-daughter, Sheryl Logue; he was a very special uncle to, Cherri (John) Fox, Ramanda, Jennifer, Samantha “Sam”, and his nephews, Tim, Mathew, Jacob, Craig and numerous others; a brother, Raymond “Ray” (Thelma) Jackson, a sister, Peggy (Brad) Duncan; a brother in law, Larry Williams; sister in law, Barbara Jackson.
Along with his parents, Cal is preceded in death by siblings, Manual Jackson, Jean Williams, Joy Moyer, Clyde Jackson Jr, and an infant sister.
To honor Cal’s wishes no services was take place at this time.
