Rex W. Talbott, age 68, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Country Club Retirement Center with his loving family at his side.
He was born on May 16, 1955, in Mount Vernon to the late Dean and Sharma (Smith) Talbott. Rex was employed at Jeld-Wen for over 25 years and retired. He then went to work for Ver-Mac Insustries as an operator. Rex enjoyed camping and motorcycles. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family, close friends, and his canine companion Sassy.
He is survived by his wife Tereasa (Seavolt) Talbott; his son Dana (Dayna) Phillips; his stepson Jason (Marty) Davis; his stepdaughter Tammy (Shannon) Penley; three grandchildren, Shyanna (Andrew) Melrose, Tyler (Kali) Davis, Abigail Davis; his brothers Doug (Cindy) Talbott, Bob (Shelly) Talbott; and his sister JoEllen Annett.
In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his brother Mike Talbott.
In keeping with Rex’ wishes, there was be no calling hours. A celebration of life service was be scheduled at a future day and time to be announced.
