Mount Vernon, OH – The Sunflower Committee congratulates the Quarter Two 2023 Sunflower Award Honoree Dani Vanriper. A patient of hers nominated her for the award. The former patient wrote, “Dani talked with me, made me feel good, and was very caring. She made me feel like family. She never complained; she’s the real deal! I was an STNA for almost 30 years and took pride in what I did, and you don’t see that nowadays. Dani just made me feel good on my bad days.”
Dani has been in the medical field for 27 years and has worked at KCH for a little over a year. She takes pride in making people feel better so they can get back home. She advises, “be bright, sunny, and positive; spread seeds of happiness, rise, shine, and hold your head high.”
The Sunflower Awards program rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care KCH Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) give daily. Knox Community Hospital is proud to recognize one of our PCAs with this special honor.
