Ellen Lucille Thomas, 97, formerly of Reno, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2023. Lucy was the daughter of Hilda and Delbert Mullenix and the wife of the late Edwin “Earl” Thomas whom she had been married to for 50 years.
Lucy was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ, retired from Williamstown National Bank, had been a caregiver to others in the community, and a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Swaney (Larry) and Pauline Jorgenson; brothers Harold and James.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, April Merzweiler, Shawn Swaney, Karen Britton whom she had recently lived with, Brenda, Laura, Jimmy and Becky; many friends; special caregivers Martha and Sharon whom she called her “adopted” daughters.
We so appreciate the care and love given to our Miss Lucy by the staff at Waterview Pointe here in Marietta and the Shrivers Hospice Team. Thank you all so very much and may God Bless each of you.
