Kenneth Paul Lewis, Ph.D., of Delaware, Ohio died Thursday, August 3, 2023.
Kenn was born on December 13, 1943, to the late Mary Theresa Wolf and William Henry Lewis in Philadelphia, PA. He was a 1962 graduate of Lower Merion High School, Ardmore, PA, and earned his B.S. at Marietta College in 1966. After serving as a Captain in the Army Medical Service Corps in a dual command at Camp Kue Hospital, Okinawa, he completed his Ph.D. at Ohio University in 1974.
Dr. Lewis taught at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the State of California System. He was a lifelong athlete who excelled in sculling, bicycling, and skiing. Throughout his career, his research made lasting ecological impacts on different regions in the United States.
He was a devoted husband to Linda Jane Biehl Lewis and is also survived by his son, Jonathan Stuart Lewis, and his daughter Alyna Gwilym Lewis, daughter-in-law Yvonne Lewis, and his grandchildren Sydney Lewis and Cole Lewis.
