Chad Ray Carpenter, age 45, passed away Thursday, Aug 3, 2023 at Marion General Hospital.

On January 18, 1978 Chad was born in Marion, Ohio, the son of Randy Carpenter and Vickie Bailey.

Chad's life was a testament to his love for the great outdoors. He was an avid angler and hunter, finding solace and joy in the serene beauty of nature. Whether he was casting his line into a tranquil lake or patiently tracking game through the woods, Chad's enthusiasm for these activities was infectious.

But Chad's interests didn't end there. He had an exceptional talent for crafting and collecting knives. His hands worked magic as he forged unique and exquisite knives, each one a reflection of his dedication and creativity. His collection of knives was a source of pride and a testament to his lifelong pursuit of perfection in his craft.

Beyond his outdoor pursuits and craftsmanship, Chad was a compassionate and caring individual. He always had a smile on his face and was known for his warm-heartedness and generosity. Chad had a unique way of making everyone around him feel valued and appreciated.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving companion, Sherry Mullett; children: Justin (Megan Graves) Carpenter, Mason Carpenter, and Madison Carpenter; mother, Vickie Bailey; mother of two of his children, Angela Carpenter, grandchildren: Madelyn Carpenter; sister, Heather (John) Mackie; grandmother, Jane (Bill) Carpenter-Wireman; uncle, Less (Jane) Carpenter; aunt, Rhonda (Donald) Collier; cousin, Ryan (Rachel) Carpenter; and many loving friends.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Randy Carpenter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out directly to Snyder Funeral Homes to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Visitation was be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 2:30PM-5:30PM; at Snyder Funeral Homes, Mount Gilead Chapel; 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead OH 43338.
