On August 31, 2023 at 5:33pm, Rev Elena Langstaff transitioned from this world to the next. Rev Elena was a light in so many lives. Elena, better known as Cricket to her family, was the loving daughter of Edith and Robert. She attended Kent State University where she received a BFA in technical theater. She put herself through school and was the first in her family to earn a degree and was incredibly proud of this accomplishment. After college she met and married her lifelong love and friend, Larry and together they had a daughter, Lana. Anyone who knew her knew how much she loved a mom. It was then that she and her family opened “The Ceramic Den”, a ceramic and art studio where she won many international awards and publications as a talented ceramist. The birth of her beloved granddaughter, Lily, motivated her to followed her dreams and a few short years later (after walking the pilgrimage, The Camino, with her mother) she went to ministerial school and achieved her life’s goal of ordained a Minister. She went on to found Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center in Mansfield, Ohio where she grew a loving and spiritual centered community.
Though her accomplishments were many, they pale next to the loved ones she leaves behind. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Spiritual Leader, and friend to so many. She loved without condition and delighted in the joys of her loved ones. Her loss is immeasurable and was be felt by those left behind for the rest of their lives.
Memorials was be held Sunday Sept 10, 2023 at 10am at Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center, 305 E Main St, Suite 11, Lexington, Ohio 44904, and Sunday, Sept 10, 2023 at 2pm at Unity of Columbus, 4211 Maize Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43224. .
