Public participation is provided at this time. (According to Board Policy 0169.1, thirty (30) minutes will be allotted for public participation.) Community members who choose to address the Board will be limited to three (3) minutes.

(a)    Congratulations to Mary Clawson on her retirement.

(b)    A special Thank You to Scott Shoemaker with Shoemaker Landscape, Scott Huvler with TD Landscape, Stu Semerar, Josh Strohl, Brian Jose, Blake Tucker and Ryan Shoemaker for their time and efforts put into the front entrances at the K-12 building.

(c)    Motion to accept the follow donations:

•    $335 to the Elementary in memory of Terri Moore

•    $250 from the Knox County Cattlemen's Association for the Welcome Back Luncheon

(a)    Motion to approve September 2023 Financial Report

(b)    Motion to approve an Insurance Moratorium for December 2023.

(c)    Motion to approve a one-year contract with Local Government Services Section to prepare the annual financial statements as of and for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 not to exceed $3,750 per fiscal year. They provide the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conversion reports. They provide financial reports detection of fraud, accuracy and completeness of records, documents and other related financial statements.

10. SUPERINTENDENT'S CONSENT AGENDA

(a) Motion to approve the updated list of substitutes from Renhill/Frontline. 

(b) Motion to approve the State Testing Security Plan for the 2023-2024 school year. 

(c) Motion to approve a resolution for participation in Ohio Schools Council cooperative purchasing program. Motion to approve the following Kenyon 

(d) Mentors for gifted students for fall, pending favorable background

(e) Motion to approve Mid-Ohio ESC RBT at $35.88 per hour from July 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024. 

(f)  Motion to approve Mid-Ohio ESC Behavior Support Services at $27,750 per year, Vision Services at $95 per hour and English Language Tutoring at $11,100 per year. Services will be from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. 

(g) Motion to enter into an agreement with Mid-Ohio ESC to provide support to Mansfield Christian and Mansfield St. Peter's Schools and its provisions of the Title I services for those eligible students with pooling agreements. This is for the 2023-2024 school year, cost $1,631.48 paid out of Title I. 

(h) Motion to approve an agreement with Mansfield Psychological Services to assist staff with caseloads and evaluations/re-evaluations management, approximately $30,000. 

(i) Motion to employ the following for additional student services in the area of special education; ETR's and paperwork at $125 per day not to exceed 15 days during the 2023-2024.

(r)    Motion to approve the following supplemental contracts for the following coaches and advisors. This is for the 2022-2023 school year. The Superintendent recommends, under the ORC Section 3313.53, that the Board approves the following under a one-year non-teaching contract. In making this recommendation, the Superintendent notes under Section 3313.53, that the Board has offered such positions to licensed district employees first and if no licensed district employees accept it, then has opened the position to the public. All employment is pending proper certification and favorable background checks.
