East Knox goes 0-2 in KMAC volleyball action

East Knox (3-12, 1-7) continue to struggle as the season winds down, going 0-2 last week against a pair of KMAC foes.

East Knox took a 3-1 loss to Northmor (10-6, 5-4) in KMAC action on September 26. 

The Bulldogs took the first set in a tight battle with the Golden Knights by a score of 25-23. Northmor came out with a vengeance in set two, dominating all the way with a 25-15 win. They followed with a 25-21 victory and then crushed the Bulldogs in the fourth set, 25-12.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Zoey Parker and junior Sydney Opfer who had eight kills apiece. Opfer added three blocks, eight assists and 18 digs, while Parker had three digs. Imogen Winkler did well from the serving line with four aces, and also tallied eight assists in a solid night setting the ball.

East Knox went on to lose in three sets to KMAC rival Centerburg, with set scores of 25-11, 25-5 and 25-12. The Bulldogs had only eight kills in the match, led by Parker with three. Addison Mostaka had 17 digs and Addison Davis tallied 10 digs. Opfer had six assists.

East Knox has now lost five straight and looks to right the ship withe final three games approaching- all against KMAc rivals.
