Seniors Walker Weckesser and Cole Delaughder were in top form combining for eight touchdowns to lead the Danville Blue Devils (6-0, 3-0) to a 52-15 win over Loudonville (2-4, 1-2) on Saturday.

Loudonville was led by quarterback Matt Sprang, who had a five-yard touchdown pass to Baylor Weiser in the opening quarter on the first drive of the game. However, Danville went on to outscore the Redbirds 52-8 the rest of the way. Danville led 8-7 after one quarter and 24-7 at the half. They outscored Loudonville 14-8 in the third quarter and then scored 14 fourth quarter points to seal the win.

Weckesser was 13-for-18 for 211 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. He also had 10 carries for 57 yards in what was a big day for the senior quarterback. Delaughder ran 21 times for 146 yards, including one for 51 yards, and three touchdowns. He also had a 19 yard pass for a touchdown pass to Joshua Byers, and added four two-point conversions. Fellow senior Nate Stephens caught three passes for 68 yards, and a pair of touchdowns. Bryer Boeshart had three receptions for 59 yards and a score.

On defense, Delaughder was a nuisance for Sprang all day, with three sacks and seven total tackles, with four going for a loss. Caleb Lucas had two sacks and Owen Gronberg added a sack. Boeshart and Hackman each had an interception, while Carson Proper deflected a pass. Boeshart had a team high 11 tackles and Hackman had five tackles.

Loudonville had 159 yards passing and 77 yards rushing, with Danville put up 230 yards in the air and 240 yards rushing, for 440 total yards. Danville has now outscored opponents 287-70 in the six wins this season.

Danville looks to remain perfect with a home matchup on Friday against Cardington-Lincoln at 7 p.m. Loudonville has lost two straight and looks to halt the slide against Fredericktown on Friday with a 7 p.m. matchup on the road.
