Sept. 7

- On 9/7/23 A Deputy was dispatched to Kenyon Campus Safety Office to college to collect Marijuana that was found on campus. The illicit drugs were placed into evidence at The Knox County Sheriffs Office for destruction. A report was taken for documentation.

Sept. 6 

- On September 6, 2023 deputies were dispatched to a residence on Columbus Rd. Centerburg, Ohio on a possible cardiac arrest incident. Deputies arrived on scene and conducted a death investigation. The primary care physician's office was contacted and Snyder's Funeral Home was contacted. Snyder's took possession of the decedent and a report was completed for documentation. 

- The refused complainant advised that the suspects were taking large stones from the Kokosing Scenic River at the Knox County Park District's property.

- The Complainant states that sometime in the last few days an unknown person cut the hose off her dehumidifier in the basement of 12 W. Main St. in Centerburg.

- A complainant came to the Knox County Sheriff's Office to report a fraud. A report was taken on the complainant's behalf.

- The complainant advised that he hit a deer in his vehicle and requested a deer slip. A deer slip was issued and the complainant denied a crash report. 

- On the above date, Deputy Ryan Burgess spoke to the complainant at her residence. The complainant wanted to report that an individual was threatening her and she wanted him to be trespassed from her residence.

Sept. 4

- On September 4, 2023 deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic violence incident at a residence on Biggs Rd. in Howard Ohio 43028. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the involved parties. The parties were separated for the evening and a report was generated to be sent to the City Law Director's Office for review.

- On 9/4/2023 Deputies were dispatched to Old Mansfield Rd. on a disturbance. Complainant stated that her grandmother's brother had assaulted her. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. A report was taken to document the incident. Nothing further at this time.

- On 09/04/2023, Deputy Kreig Cline was dispatched to West Lakeview Dr for a lost/found property complaint. Dispatch advised that the complainant had located a vehicle bumper in a wood line while mowing. Cline responded and made contact with the complainant.

- On September 4, 2023 a deputy located an intoxicated male walking on Coshocton Rd. The individual was attempting to walk into Mount Vernon. He agreed to be transported to the Sheriff's Office to wait on his ride coming from Delaware County.

- On 9-4-23 Deputies observed a male riding a bicycle on the roadway on Harcourt Rd without any operational front headlamps or rear lights. Deputies made contact and the male was identified, showing an active warrant out of the Knox County Sheriff's Office. A search incident to arrest was conducted and drugs were found. The male was transported to the Knox County Jail and a report was completed. 

Sept. 3

- On September 3, 2023 deputies responded to a disturbance occurring on Baird Rd. A juvenile was having a mental crisis and was later transported to Licking Memorial Hospital by a parent.

- On 9/3/2023 Deputies were dispatched to Miller St. in Centerburg on a disturbance. Complainant stated that the two males are residents there and are fighting. Deputies arrived on scene and collected statements. A male was transported to Knox Community Hospital for a small cut on his head. Nothing further at this time. 

- On 09/03/2023, Deputy Kreig Cline was dispatched to Centerburg High School for a vandalism complaint. Dispatch advised that someone had done a bunch of burnouts and left a large amount of trash in the parking lot. Cline responded and made contact with the complainant. 

Sept. 2

- On September 2, 2023 medics, a deputy and Mount Vernon Police Officers responded to an overdose on LayBelle Dr. in Mount Vernon. An individual took an excessive amount of medication in an attempt to commit suicide. They were transported to the Knox Community Hospital for treatment.

- On the above date at 2:11 a.m. while on routine patrol, A deputy located a suspicious vehicle at the Kokosing Lake spillway. After making contact with the driver, it was found that the driver had an outstanding warrant out of the Richland County Sheriffs Office. The driver was arrested without incident and relayed with the Richland County Sheriffs Office without incident. 

- On 9/2/23 Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Sparta Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was taken for documentation purposes.

- On September 2, 2023 the complainant called the Knox County Sheriff's Office to report that they had fell victim to a Publishers Clearing House scam/fraud. A report was filed at the complainant's request.

Sept. 1

- On September 1, 2023 deputies were dispatched to an assault at a gas station on Columbus Rd. in Mount Vernon Ohio 43050. Deputies arrived and made contact with one of the involved parties before she was transported to KCH. Deputies were able to follow up with both parties and collect written statements. This report will be forwarded to the City Law Director's Office for review.

- The Complainant called to report that a new patient had walked away from the facility at Centerburg Pointe without notice.

Aug. 31

- On 8/31/23 Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of College Park St in Gambier, in reference to a vandalism incident. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was completed for documentation purposes.

- The Complainant called the Sheriffs Office to report that an Unknown Person had applied for unemployment benefits in her name and needed a report for the incident. 

Aug. 30

- Deputies responded to a report of menacing and stalking at East Knox. An adult male was taken into custody without incident and a juvenile was detained, also without incident. An investigation is ongoing. 

Aug. 29

- On August 29, 2023, a deputy observed an All Terrain Vehicle unlawfully traversing on a roadway. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle operator was determined to be impaired by an unknown substance. The deputy arrested the individual for OVI and a report was completed for court and for documentation.

- On August 29, 2023, deputies responded to a possible crash with injuries. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with all parties involved in the collision. All parties involved in the crash declined medical care beyond care from EMS. A deputy determined the at fault driver and issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection. A report was completed for documentation.
