Aug. 30
– Deputies responded to a report of menacing and stalking at East Knox in Howard. An adult male was taken into custody without incident and a juvenile was detained, also without incident. An investigation is ongoing.
Aug. 29
– On Aug. 29 at Millwood Road in Howard a deputy observed an All Terrain Vehicle unlawfully traversing on a roadway. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle operator was determined to be impaired by an unknown substance. The deputy arrested the individual for OVI and a report was completed for court and for documentation.
– Deputies responded to a possible crash with injuries on August 29, 2023 at McKenzie Road in Mount Vernon. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with all parties involved in the collision. All parties involved in the crash declined medical care beyond care from EMS. A deputy determined the at fault driver and issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection. A report was completed for documentation.
Aug. 28
– On Aug. 28 deputies responded to an active domestic violence incident at a residence on Ridgeland Dr. in Howard. Deputies arrived on scene, forced entry into the residence and made an arrest on the domestic violence suspect. The suspect was transported to the Knox Community Hospital. The suspect will be transported to the Knox County Jail for domestic violence and resisting arrest.
– On Aug. 28 a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Wooster Rd. In Mount Vernon reference threats made between family members over messaging. The deputy arrived on scene and collected a written statement. A report was generated for documentation and further investigation.
– On Aug. 28 a disturbance occurred at 80 Miller St. in Centerburg. An individual who lives in the facility was upset with a house mate then began throwing items in the house. Deputies arrived on scene then later transported the male causing the disturbance to the Knox Community Hospital for a mental evaluation.
– On Aug. 28 Deputy Ryan Burgess spoke to the complainant from Glenridge Circle in Howard by telephone. The complainant wanted to report that he had his American Airlines account compromised and someone had used his miles without his permission.
– On Aug. 28 Deputy Kreig Cline was dispatched to West Scott Ln. In Gambier for a suicidal subject. Dispatch advised that the subject was with a counselor and needed pink sipped. I responded and made contact with the involved parties.
Aug. 26
– On Aug. 26 an individual called the Sheriff's Office wanting to file a theft report for someone not returning his ladder at Kenyon Road in Mount Veron. After contacts with both parties, the matter was determined to be a civil issue.
– On Aug. 26 a deputy responded to a business on Columbus Rd. in Centerburg Ohio. The deputy collected a counterfeit U.S. Currency $100 bill, along with the receipt and flash drive with CCTV footage on it. A report was generated and follow up investigation will be completed.
– On Aug. 26 deputies were dispatched to a residence on Coglin Rd. In Howard for a disturbance. Deputies were advised of an intoxicated female acting crazy and attempting to leave the residence. According to the female, the male was not allowing her to leave and being violent. Deputies arrived and spoke with both parties. Evidence was observed of a domestic incident involving threats and assault. The male half was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail. A report was completed.
– On Aug. 26 a complainant called into The Knox County Sheriffs Office to report a protection order violation at New Guilford Road in Martinsburg. A report was taken for documentation.
Aug. 25
– On Aug. 25 Deputies were dispatched to the Howard baseball fields parking lot on Pipesville Road in reference to a person that was slumped over behind the steering wheel of a vehicle. The person was transported to Knox Community Hospital for evaluation.
– A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office from North Liberty Road in Predericktown to report identity fraud.
– On Aug. 25 Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Wooster Road in reference to a civil issue. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and discovered an individual in the residence had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The individual was arrested and transported to the Sheriff's Office. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
– On Aug. 25 Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Valleywood Dr in reference to a domestic incident. Upon arrival Deputies conducted an investigation on the incident and identified a female victim and male suspect. Deputies arrested the male subject without incident and transported him to the Sheriff's Office. A report was taken for documentation purposes and charges are pending on the incident.
