COLUMBIA, Tenn. – United Producers, Inc. (UPI) is pleased to announce that Jacob Massey, the cooperative’s auctioneer for its Fayetteville and Columbia, Tenn. markets, was recently crowned the 2023 World Livestock Auctioneer at the 2023 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship (WLAC), presented by the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA).
According to a release from the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA), Massey will spend the next year traveling the country, sharing his auctioneering skills with other livestock auction markets and acting as a spokesperson on behalf of the livestock marketing industry and LMA.

Massey attended North Georgia School of Auctioneering in 2007. He currently resides in his hometown of Petersburg, Tenn. with his wife and four children. Massey is actively involved in his local church and coaches youth baseball.
His passion for agriculture stems from his experience working on a cattle farm for the entirety of his life.
