COLUMBUS – The Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter invites the community to attend an open house on July 25, at the Chapter Office, located at 1379 Dublin Rd. in Columbus.

Anyone interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia may stop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet staff and volunteers, learn about free chapter support and resources and find out about getting involved in the association’s vision to achieve a world without Alzheimer’s.

There will be short programs, including understanding dementia, facts about the latest research, communications strategies for families and caregivers and supporting the mission through advocacy, fundraising and volunteering. Care consultations for families concerned about themselves or a loved one will be available throughout the day, as well as a virtual dementia experience, which helps people understand what it’s like to live with dementia.

“We are really excited to have our friends and neighbors step into our office again,” said Pam Myers, program director for the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter.

“As the community is moving out of the pandemic, we are seeing an increase in families needing help and support, as well as looking for volunteer opportunities and other ways to engage in our mission,” Myers said. “By stopping by on July 25, you can learn about our free education programs, care consultations and other resources. You’ll also be able to understand how you can join our fight to end Alzheimer’s and other dementia.”
