Mount Vernon – The Wynkoop Airport hosts the 64th Annual National Waco Club Reunion from June 21, through Sunday, June 25.

Throughout the week, Waco aircraft made appearances, with a significant number of additional arrivals anticipated. The event featured 38 registrants from the Waco aircraft community.

“We have been so blessed as a club to hold our reunion at such a wonderful location,” the National Waco Club said on its website. “The Wynkoop Airport provides possibly the best backdrop that a gathering of antique airplanes could ever have.”

The Waco Aircraft Company, based in Troy, Ohio, was a prominent aircraft manufacturer from 1919 to 1947, renowned for its production of various civilian biplanes, including 62 different models, and holding the top position in the number of registered aircraft among its competitors.

The National Waco Club, established in 1958, holds the distinction of being the oldest "Type Club" for aircraft in the United States. The club welcomes aviation enthusiasts, including current and former owners, employees and admirers of Waco airplanes.
