The Knox County Board of Elections is seeking a Director to lead its staff. The Director is responsible for executing all of the Board’s operations including elections and office operations. This position is the county’s highest election administrator and should be a professional administrator providing executive level, detail-oriented direction to the Board's staff team, its collaborative partners and the public. He or she must have a baseline understanding of the rules, processes, procedures, and equipment used in local election administration. He or she must exercise sound judgment and possess general managerial experience and skills in a professional office setting.

Minimum qualifications include: A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in public administration or a field related to the work of the Board is preferred; be a registered voter; successful completion of a background check; and experience working in Ohio elections administration, or at least 3 years in a public office setting is preferred.
