MOUNT VERNON – Samuel U. Taylor, 65, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at his residence.
He was born to Herb Taylor and Cora (Yoder) Taylor on Oct. 6, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio.
Samuel was a master carpenter and spent his entire career as a union carpenter. He loved fishing, hunting, watching football, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
Samuel is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beth; a daughter, Breanne; sons, Dakota and Samuel; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Herb, his parents and a granddaughter.
Per his request, there will not be a funeral service. Instead, the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
