BUTLER – Charles D. Swank, 39 of Butler, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Dec. 8, 2022 during firefighting training while in Pensacola, Florida.
The son of Leo “Lee” and Pamela (Flath) Swank, Charles was born May 10, 1983 in Mount Vernon, and graduated from Clear Fork High School in 2002.
Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 18 years, Alaina Swank of Butler; five children Jaxon, Kasey, Haylee, Trey and Troy Swank all of Butler; mother Pamela Swank of Bellville; siblings Becky (Pinkey) Palmer of Butler, Leo (Jenn) Swank of Bellville, and Jesse (Sara) Swank of Cable, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law John (Rhonda) Crunkilton of Butler; sister-in-law Becky (Rob) Comerford of Fredericktown; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and a large circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Leo “Lee” Swank on March 16, 2002.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Storyside Church, 541 State Route 97, Bellville, Ohio 44813 where his funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial with honors performed by the Washington Township Fire Department Honor Guard and Bellville American Legion Post #535 will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
