BURBANK – Steven Carl Catteau passed away Dec. 2, 2022, along with his best friend and dog buddy, Sunny, from an automobile accident.

Steve was born July 17, 1973, in Medina, Ohio. In the past few years, he had made his home in Burbank, Ohio. He graduated from Northwestern High School and earned an NJATC electrical apprenticeship from Local 38 in Cleveland. He had been an electrician for 29 years and currently was working with Gateway Electric as a foreman. He was proud to be a union guy.

He loved more than anything spending time with his family. He also loved the Browns, Indians, Cavs and Ohio State, and especially attending his niece's and nephews' sporting events. He attended Wayne Presbyterian Church, where Pastor Bob Meyer was a friend and mentor to him over the past few years.

He always had a good story to share and made us laugh. Our family gatherings won’t be the same without him, but we know he will always be with us. He will be so greatly missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again …

Surviving are his parents, Jay and Vickie Catteau; sister and family Tiffany and Corey Firebaugh; nephews Rylan and Camden; and niece, Kinsley; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins, and his two cat buddies, Leo and Romeo.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Harold and Roberta (Bobbie) Tharp and Richard and Colleta Catteau; uncle Jeff Tharp; and cousin Wendy Tharp-Ernsberger.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 5-8 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home with services on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Wayne Presbyterian Church in Wooster.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wayne County Dog Shelter, 5694 Burbank Road, Wooster, OH 44691.

Private or public condolences may be shared with the family at www.custerglenn.com.
