HOWARD – Knox County Education Service Center Superintendent Timm Mackley will be speaking to the Apple Valley Republicans on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Apple Valley Clubhouse, 3725 Apple Valley Drive in Howard.

The origin of Ohio’s Educational Service Centers dates back to 1914, when the Ohio General Assembly created 88 “County School Districts” and charged them with the task of “elevating the state’s system of education to a proper standard.” In 1995, the 88 County School Districts were renamed “Educational Service Centers.” Today, the Knox Educational Service Center is one of 55 such agencies that improve student learning, enhance the quality of instruction, expand equitable access to resources and reduce costs for the public school districts of Ohio.

The Apple Valley Republicans are a group of eastern Knox County Ohio residents who believe Republicans have better ideas. They want elected officials to represent their constituents and not their lobbyists. They believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, limited government and unlimited freedom. They host monthly speakers that help to educate and advance their beliefs. Their meetings are open to the public and all like-minded citizens are welcome to join in regardless of where they live.
