COLUMBUS – United Producers Inc. (UPI), the Midwest’s largest livestock marketing cooperative, announced that Madison Banbury has been hired as a sales representative for the cooperative’s Mount Vernon market. In her role, Banbury will support facility sales and operations, ensure animal well-being and provide livestock marketing solutions to customers.

“We are thrilled to bring Madison on board as our new sales representative for the Mount Vernon area,” said Mike Bumgarner, UPI president and CEO. “Her agricultural sales knowledge and hands-on experience will be instrumental in serving our members with their livestock marketing needs.”

Banbury attended Fort Hays University in Fort Hays, Kansas and the University of Kentucky. Her previous roles include experience in the agriculture industry, most recently working as a breeder flock supervisor for Case Farms of Ohio. As a fourth-generation farmer, she also operated her family-owned sheep and goat feedlot, in addition to lambing several thousand ewes throughout her life. Outside of her professional roles, she has been active in volunteering for her community 4-H program, serving on the membership committee and LEAD Council for the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association. She has also been involved as a member of the University of Kentucky’s Livestock Judging Team and Sigma Alpha Professional Sorority. She currently resides in Shreve, Ohio.
