MOUNT VERNON – Bonita Grace Parnell, 95, of Mount Vernon passed away on Oct. 31, 2022, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1926, in Mount Liberty to the late Theodore and Maude (Slane) Dowden.
Bonita is survived by her children, Pamela Parnell, Terri (Steve) Leighty, Jill Kegley, Perry Parnell, and Tracy (Patrick) Schell; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parnell; two brothers, Herbert and Harold Dowden; and three sisters, Ruth Hulse, Josephine Workman and Helen White.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, from 12 – 2 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Family will observe a private burial in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Bonita’s memory.
