MOUNT VERNON – Elinor Sarah (Palmer) Dunnewold (1930-2022) died peacefully on Oct. 11, 2022, at the age of 92 in Northfield, MN.
Elinor was born in Latrobe, PA, on Sept. 8, 1930, second child of Francis and Ruth Palmer, who preceded her in death, as did her older brother, Edward Palmer. Wife of Rev. Lawrence J. Dunnewold, who also preceded her in death, Elinor lived most of her adult life in Mount Vernon, OH, and St. Louis Park, MN.
Elinor is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands: Jane Dunnewold and K. Wayne Harms, Kyle, TX; Ann Dunnewold, Dallas, TX; Ruth Dunnewold and David Salapa, Harrisburg, PA; and Mary Dunnewold and Jeff Ondich, Northfield, MN. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and their partners: Abby Olena and Andrew Hardaway; Zenna James and Joshua Duke; Audrey Olena and Jon Splett; Isaac Salapa and Nicole Simmons; Sam Dunnewold and Lee Conrads; Hannah Salapa and Mitch Brown; and Elena Ondich and Zach Velcoff. She is also survived by four adored great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Piper, Latrobe, PA; and Dorothy’s children and grandchildren.
