MOUNT VERNON – It is with a heavy heart that the family of Robert A. Lincoln announce his passing on Oct. 1, 2022, at the age of 90 years. He passed while surrounded by family at home. 

Robert was born in Quincy, Illinois, on July 21, 1932. He had two children (Debbie and David) with his wife, Ida W. Trisnoadi Lincoln and his four step-children (Susanto, Dina, Ryan, and Kimi). An Air Force veteran, Robert worked as a mechanical engineer for Cooper-Bessemer from 1963 until 2003. The family lived in Mount Vernon until 2000, when they then relocated to Newark. Robert was a wonderful father, husband and son. He enjoyed collecting and restoring classic Ford street-rod cars and spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his six children, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sister, Jeanette Speckhart. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Idawiyah W. Lincoln; father, Robert W. Lincoln; mother, Tillie F. Murphy Dillinger Lincoln; sister, Jeanne Lincoln Saylor; brother, Theodore Lincoln; stepbrother Harold Dillinger; and a nephew. Robert was buried in Columbus.
