MOUNT VERNON – Rickey Dean Harper, 70, of Maryville, IL, formally of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022.
Rick is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. (Lybarger) Harper; two daughters, Patricia (Glen) Bell and Jennifer Harper; and two step-children, Jason (Kerry) Kida and Magen Westberger. He had two grandsons, Shane (Eden) Bell and Steven Bell; one step-granddaugther, Alana Westenberger; four great-grandchildren, Regan, Madison, Levi and Marley Bell; and one step-great-grandchild, Makenna Rine. Also surviving is a sister, Emma (Conkle) Harper; and brother, Ray Harper.
Rick was born Jan. 25, 1952, to the late Raymond and Eva (Powell) Harper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Harper; and two sisters, Marilyn (Moreland) Harper and Donna (Smith) Harper.
There will be no service per his request; however, a celebration of life is planned for a later date.
