HOWARD – Cheryle Susan (Alexander) McDonald of Howard went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022. There to welcome her was her husband of 47 years – the love of her life – Michael McDonald, who preceded her in death in 2019.
Cheryle and Mike were baptized together at Millwood Church Of Christ, where they both remained lifelong members. Cheryle took great pride in serving the church by cleaning its building, keeping it spotless for many years until her retirement. She also earned the title of "the Cookie Queen" for the countless delicious cookies she provided for youth events.
Cheryle was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; mother, Dorothy Alexander; father, Kenneth Alexander; father-in-law, Edward McDonald; brother Ronald Alexander; sister Lorie Alexander; and many other loved ones. She leaves behind her daughters, Becky Davis (Duane) and Michelle McDonald; grandchildren, Justus Matthews, Bethan Davis and Stephen Davis (Hannah); and great-granddaughter Paisley Davis; as well as siblings Debbie Condit (Bryan), Kenneth Alexander (Marie) and Carole Olson (Steve) and mother-in-law, Mary Ellen McDonald. She also leaves behind her faithful dog Boomer.
Cheryle dedicated her life to loving and caring for us all so well and we will continue to love her and honor her memory, while rejoicing in her heavenly homegoing.
Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 20, at the Millwood Church of Christ, 10900 Millersburg Road, Howard, OH 43028. Please contact Dave Jones with any questions.
