KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kenyon's student-athletes work as hard in the classroom as they do on their fields of athletic endeavor, and the recognition for scholarship keep pouring in, as the women's soccer team has joined the ranks of honored Owls. United Soccer Coaches released its list of Team Academic Award winners, recognizing exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year. A total of 382 women’s collegiate teams, across all divisions, earned the award, including the Kenyon College Owls women's soccer team.
The 2021-22 Kenyon team, directed by head coach Kelly Bryan, had 31 student-athletes who combined to chalk up a team GPA of 3.64, which easily surpassed the baseline of 3.00 required for recognition.
On the field, Kenyon posted an overall record of 8-8-2, including a third-place 5-2-1 mark within North Coast Athletic Conference play.
The Lady Owls have now won the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award 18 times in the past 22 seasons.
