Children’s Hunger Alliance participates in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Workshop for Knox County Fair Horticulture Flower Show. Jo Ann Graham and Audrey Spearman will give tips on entering the Knox County Fair Horticulture Flower Show. They will go over the rules and guidelines for showing cut flowers, annuals, perennials, roses, dahlias, glads, herbs, hostas, container grown plants and vegetables that are on the schedule.

“Friends and Foes of the Forest” guided hike. Calling all landowners and people who want to learn more about the local native and invasive plants in and around their yards. Knox County Park District College interns Sam Large and Macy Helser will lead an informative hike where they will discuss and show various invasive and native plant species. This program offers an opportunity to learn more about the common safe and more dangerous plants that may likely be in your backyard and how to manage harmful invasive plants while promoting native plant species.
