Six student artworks from the Highland Local School District were selected by representatives from Akron Children’s Hospital.
“Akron Children’s is committed to include art that patients and parents can enjoy as they navigate their way through very strong emotions,” said Jill Hazen, Akron Children's spokesperson. “We believe your art will give comfort, strength and hope to these families that are waiting, hoping and praying for good news."
Three high school artists created works: Alexa VanHorne, grade 9; Shelby Conley, grade 11; and Brooke Schott, grade 11.
Three middle school artists created works: Keegan Tackett, grade 8; Jossalyn Varney, grade 8; and Emma Zornes, grade 6.
