Community Family Players, fresh off of receiving the Theatre Roundtable citation for Theatre Innovation, is holding auditions for youth roles in A Christmas Carol.

"We have a limited number of male and female roles for actors ages 6 to 19,” said the director, Rev. Scott Elliott. “No experience is necessary for this volunteer effort to raise funds for The Winter Sanctuary while providing a wonderful start to the holiday season for everyone else. Community Family Players connects youth to the community through the performing arts. Like any good play, our productions require work and commitment, but they are fun too!"

Children and teens wishing to audition must be available in later October and all of November on Sundays (3-6 p.m.) and Mondays and Tuesdays (6-9 p.m.). There will also be rehearsals the Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend that cannot be missed.

The auditions will be walk-in with cold readings for parts at First Congregational Church, 200 N. Main St. on Saturday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No preparation is necessary. There are a few roles left for adults too, and arrangements for adults to be interviewed and audition are scheduled by appointment only.
