MOUNT VERNON – Ondalee Roberts-Sipe, 71, of Mount Vernon, was called home by her heavenly Father on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Onda was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to Everett and Margaret (Hatcher) Watkins.

Onda graduated from Fairlawn High School in Sidney, Ohio.

She married her best friend, Roy Sipe, on May 18, 2001. Roy made his way to heaven on April 10, 2022.

For many years Onda provided safe and loving daycare for many children in her community. After retiring from being a daycare provider, Onda was a paraprofessional for Mount Vernon City Schools. Her entire career focused on the care of children.

Onda lived her life to its fullest. Onda and Roy were always busy doing something fun. They loved spending time with their family and friends, traveling, dancing, and trips in their motorhome. She will be remembered for her faith in God, her kindness, and generosity.

Onda was a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene. She attended Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene and The Church of God.

Onda will be deeply missed by her daughter Lori (Tim) Lybarger; grandchildren Collin Lybarger, Rylin Lybarger, Seth Roberts, Annabelle Roberts, Max Roberts, and Lullabelle Roberts; brother Ken (Elayne) Watkins; nieces Lynsey (Curtis) Patrick, Amanda (Darin) Prince, Bethany (Brent) Hohenberger, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ondalee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and beloved son Sean Michael Roberts.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at 13160 Henry Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. also at The Church of God, with Pastor Jason Harding officiating.
