NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Macy Weaver and Kyler Dickey earned conference honors, and Erich Rhodeback set a record at the Crossroads League Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Notre Dame on Friday, May 6.
The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s track and field team finished the meet in ninth overall with 23 points. Marian University took the conference crown with 211 points, and Indiana Wesleyan University placed second with 134 points. Taylor University rounded out the top three with 127 points.
Macy Weaver earned All-League status for MVNU during the first day of competition in the 10000M run. After running well enough in day one to make it to finals, Missy Emery placed ninth in the 100M dash with a time of 12.99.
Makayla Roberts placed ninth out of 28 throwers in the discus with a throw of 46.04 meters.
Ashley Burgess placed 14th overall in the 400M run with a time of 1:04.64.
The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s track and field team placed fifth overall out of 10 teams competing, with 86 points. Overall, the men ended the meet with five All-League performers and two conference title winners. Marian University won the meet with 173 points, and Grace College claimed second with 116 points.
A day after Kyler Dickey claimed the conference title and All-League honors in the shot put, Erich Rhodeback celebrated a title. The freshman won the 110M hurdles with an All-League time of 14.68 seconds.
Marcus Whaley placed second in the 400M hurdles with a time of 54.77 seconds. Whaley earned an All-League spot with the second-place finish.
After placing third, Terril Skinner earned All-League status in the 110M hurdles with a time of 14.82 seconds.
Bryce Wiles also earned All-League recognition, as he placed third in the 100M dash with a time of 10.93 seconds.
