The Ohio Pork Council will host Junior Swine Day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release.

It will be held at Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center, 100 Green Meadows Drive South, Lewis Center, OH 43035.

"We invite all youth and their parents who are involved in the show pig world to join us for a day of all things show pig," the organization said. "Participants will spend the day rotating through sessions while hearing from pork industry experts about animal nutrition, showmanship, animal health and so much more. Parents will have the opportunity to have training sessions on PQA and Secure Pork Supply Plans."

Lunch is also free.

"Make sure to contact pork@ohiopork.org if  your plans change and you are no longer able to attend the event," the organization said. "Note that our space is limited and we ask that only one parent attend  per household."
