The Zanesville Civil War Roundtable will meet Monday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at the Putnam Presbyterian Church, at 467 Woodlawn Ave. in Zanesville.
This month’s program will feature Carleton Young, author of “Voices from the Attic: The Williamstown Boys in the Civil War.”
Carleton has undergraduate degrees in economics and English from Westminster College and Point Park University, an M.A. in history from Ohio University, and his Ph.D. in the history of education from the University of Pittsburgh. He taught AP American history at Thomas Jefferson High School in Pittsburgh for 37 years. He has also taught classes as an adjunct professor at the Community College of Allegheny County, the University of Pittsburgh, Eastern Gateway Community College and in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He and his wife, Carol, reside in Pittsburgh.
