MOUNT VERNON – Robert Wayne Harris, 69, of Mount Vernon passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born Jan. 22, 1953, in Mount Vernon to Clarence and Dorothy (Morehouse)Harris.
Graduated class of ’71 from Mount Vernon, JVS. Bob was a master mechanic and autobody specialist.
Bob married Sharon (Gower) Harris Dec. 20, 1974. He will be greatly missed by his children, Bob (Kristin) Cope, Michelle (Justin) Ringstaff and Michael (Kami) Harris. He cherished his four grandchildren, Elijah, Enoch, Emma and River, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, his siblings, Gary, Gene (Kathy), and Carol were very dear to his heart.
Bob was a long-time business owner of Superior Quality Body Shop, a mentor, a friend, and someone you could always trust and depend on. He loved music, playing guitar, jokes and laughter, and most of all his family. He always welcomed people in to talk, laugh and get advice.
