NEWARK – Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is holding visit days this spring for anyone interested in exploring higher education in engineering, health care or public safety. 

Learn how a college degree or certificate can lead to a rewarding career and increase earning potential in these high-demand career fields in as little as one semester or up to two years at COTC.

The following events will be held at COTC’s Newark campus. Group sizes are limited, and advanced registration is required. Visitors are expected to follow the college’s health and safety procedures.

Engineering Technology Visit Day

Friday, March 4, from 1:30-3 p.m.

Learn about two engineering technology associate degrees that offer graduates a diverse array of STEM-based career paths. During this 90-minute visit, participants will rotate through engineering labs, participate in hands-on activities with faculty and tour the campus.

Health Care Visit Days

Friday, March 25, from 1:30-3 p.m.

Friday, April 22, from 1:30-3 p.m.

COTC offers an array of associate degrees and certificates for starting or advancing a career in health care. Meet with faculty and tour COTC’s healthcare labs, including a state-of-the art simulation center in the new John and Mary Alford Center for Science and Technology.

Public Safety Visit Day

Friday, April 8, from 1:30-3 p.m.

Learn about the associate degree and certificate programs for public safety careers in criminal justice, fire science and law enforcement. Faculty have a variety of career experiences and on-the-job knowledge in their specialties, and COTC partners with many local organizations to provide training facilities.

COTC is a fully accredited, public college dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs. COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four full-service campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
