Mount Vernon – The Knox Community Hospital Auxiliary will be offering academic scholarships to high school seniors and college juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in a health care profession. Applications are available from the high school guidance offices of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, East Knox, Mount Vernon and the Knox County Career Center, along with the Knox Community Hospital website. Each scholarship award will total $1,000, and the number of scholarships available is not yet determined.
Eligibility requirements are outlined in the application. All applicants must have been a Knox County resident for at least 12 months.
