MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Department of Job & Family Services is continuing to recognize community partners and individuals who assist in reaching the agency’s mission of making the lives of children and families better.

January’s Community Impact Award goes to Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies Chad Kennedy and Kyle Johnson, who work with the agency’s Seek Work program.

Knox County Child Support Services teamed up with the Knox County Sheriff Department in Sept. 2015 and initiated the Seek Work Program. Currently, deputies Kennedy   and Johnson have been overseeing the program. There are 263 active cases in the Seek Work Program. This program and the deputies have been an asset to Child Support Services.

With the help of the deputies, clients have been held accountable and referred to other resources in our community such as OhioMeansJobs Knox County. The hard work and dedication of these deputies to the Seek Work Program truly helps to improve the lives of children and families in Knox County.
