MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found seven guilty after arraignments and hearings at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Nov. 15. 

Adam Thornton, 37, Ashland, driving under a 12-point suspension; three days in jail. 

Uriah Langston, 38, Mount Vernon, failing to confine dog; $200 fine. 

Howard Hull, 44, Howard, operating a vehicle while under the influence; $1,000 fine, 365 days in jail, with 305 days suspended, five years of community control and must enroll in an Intensive Outpatient Program, and suspended operator's license for three years. 

Matthew Underhill, 45, Mansfield, operating a vehicle while under the influence; $500 fine, 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, two years of community control and must complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable, and suspended operator's license for one year. 

Tyler Bauer, 29, Mount Vernon, operating a vehicle while under the influence; $500 fine, 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, two years of community control and must attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended operator's license for one year. 

Sean McLaughlin, 51, Howard, operating a vehicle while under the influence; $500 fine, 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, two years of community control and must attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable, and suspended operator's license for one year. 

Abdirashid Arale, 43, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, failing to stop at a stop sign; $35 fine. 

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in these cases.
