Leaf Pickup

The 2020 Leaf Pickup Schedule was so helpful. The schedule listed every street in Mount Vernon and indicated the approximate date the leaf pickup crew would work each street. It was updated daily so residents could arrange to have the leaves to the curb for pickup. It was very helpful and worked extremely well. The 2021 schedule has been just the opposite – no real help at all. It only showed the main streets and rarely indicated information of real assistance for knowing when the leaves would be picked up.
With the high winds we have been experiencing, I did not want to move my leaves to the street just to have them blown back to the house until I knew the crew would be coming up my street. With the winds Saturday and the snow storm Sunday, my leaves are still up near the house and the pickup crew worked my street Monday morning. What a disappointment this year’s information has been.
I sincerely recommend returning to last year’s schedule format for the 2022 Fall leaf pickup.
