MOUNT VERNON – Ariel-Foundation Park’s annual luminary walk will be Saturday, Dec. 4, from 6:30-8 p.m. as part of the City of Mount Vernon’s Festival of Lights.
This year’s event is held in memory of Dick Murray, avid park volunteer and community leader, and is sponsored by Kidwell & Cunningham, Half-Baked Cafe and Everlasting Cup. Assistance will be provided by Carpenter Dental Group, Almost Famous Sweets & Sodas, Psi Iota Xi and the Sub-Alpine Hiking Group.
Guests can take a leisurely stroll through more than 700 luminaries along the sidewalks and on the terraces of the park. Small ensembles of carolers will be singing traditional Christmas carols. Free hot cocoa from Everlasting Cup and cookies from Half-Baked Cafe will be available in the Urton Clock House.
