DANVILLE – Dawn Michelle (Alicie) Wilson, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born Aug. 30, 1968, in Mount Vernon to the late Tom Alicie and Rachel (Phillips Garber). She enjoyed caring for people, especially those with disabilities at the Midwest Group Home, where she worked for many years.
Dawn loved knitting, sitting to visit with people, the Knox Co. Fair and watching her kids’ sports activities, and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren whenever she had the opportunity.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Wilson of Danville, to whom she was a combined best friend, girlfriend and wife over 40 years; her children, Laura (Bryan) St. Clair of Bladensburg, Victoria (Jordan) Garver of Fredericktown, Mercedes Wilson of Danville, Brad Wilson of Danville and Rachel Wilson of Danville; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Jake and Barrett St. Clair; a brother, Steve Alicie of Mt. Vernon; her father-in-law, John R. Wilson of Danville; sister-in-law, Margie (Bernie) Raab of Valley Grove, W.V.; brothers-in-law, Bob (Donna) Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Don (Jennifer) Wilson of Upper Sandusky, Doug (Laurel) Wilson of Danville, Joe (Kim) Wilson of Danville and Pete (Cindy) Wilson of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Harold Thomas and Rachel Alice Garber, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Irene Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 5-7 p.m., and prior to service time on Thursday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
